A Positive Impact

Mrs. Porreco has become a key figure at Jefferson Academy, with her contagious laugh, positive effect on the students, and ability to make people smile. Through leadership, dedication, and perseverance, Mrs. Porreco always aims to make a positive impact at Jefferson Academy. 

“One of my main goals every day is to put a smile on the students’ faces and just put a positive impact on them,” Porreco noted. 

Mrs. Porreco has been at Jefferson Academy for many years, and during those years she has made a very positive impact on Jefferson Academy. Her role includes disciplinary actions, scheduling state board exams such as the PSAT and SAT, and staff evaluations. Earlier this year she taught Senior Seminar and helped many seniors. 

Senior Fia Kauffman noted, “Being in her senior seminar class was very fun. She always helped and made sure we were on track.” 

Mrs. Porreco has a very important role in our school, and she continues to show her support to students and staff. 

“I think the most important part of my job is just making sure the students and staff feel supported. I just want to be a positive role model,” Porreco stated. 

Porreco has continued to make the school a more positive environment simply by showing her support. 

Beyond her important roles within the school, Porreco has a unique ability to make students and staff feel better by simply talking to them for a couple of minutes. 

“Everyone makes mistakes; it’s all about how you overcome those mistakes that matter,” Porreco stated.
