New Title, Same Drive

Students at Jefferson Academy have been asking one big question: Is Principal Ann Schultz going to be their principal next year? With her recent promotion to executive director, there is a lot of uncertainty throughout the halls.

“I was hired as the executive director of Jefferson Academy, entailing that I’d be overseeing all of our campuses,” Schultz said.

While the big title sounds like a goodbye, Schultz made it clear that her connection to the school has not changed. Her experience as principal shaped how she supports teachers and students on a daily basis. But the most undeniable question many students were wondering was whether their principal would be leaving.

“I am not leaving. I am only changing roles. I am thrilled to continue to be a part of the JA team,” Schultz said.

Schultz works hard every day for JA and strives to create meaningful memories. She points to moments like supporting a teacher whose excitement reminded her of why her work matters.

“Moments like that make my heart smile. The greatest gift we give to students is to have excellent teachers,” Schultz said.

Even when faced with a choice between the roles, her answer would remain the same — she wants to stay connected to Jefferson Academy in every way possible.

“I want to be a part of JA! Whether I serve in a building leadership role or as the executive director, I have an amazing opportunity to be a part of an educational team that is truly focused on helping children thrive,” Schultz said.

So while her office may change, her presence and impact will not.

“10,000% I get to stay in the JA community!” Schultz said.
